Product Description
This antibody reacts with the Fc portion of mouse IgG heavy chain, but not with the Fab portion of mouse immunoglobulins, by immunoelectrophoresis and/or ELISA. Antibodies against mouse IgM or non-immunoglobulin serum proteins were not detected. This antibody has been tested by ELISA and/or solid phase adsorption to ensure minimal cross-reactivity with human, bovine and equine serum albumins, however it may cross-react with immunoglobulins from other species.
Intact IgG antibodies were isolated from antisera by immunoaffinity chromatography. They have an Fc part and two antigen-binding Fab parts linked together by a disulfide bond, so they are bivalent. The average molecular weight is reported to be about 160 kDa. Antibodies in the intact IgG form are suitable for most immunoassay procedures and are the most cost-effective.
