Purpose

Our Human Insulin-like Growth Factor IGF ELISA kit is used to measure IGF levels in human serum, plasma, culture medium or any biological fluid.

in principle

This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The Microelisa strips provided in this kit are pre-coated with IGF-specific antibodies. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate Microelisa strip wells and bound to specific antibodies. Horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated IGF-specific antibody was then added to each Microelisa strip well and incubated. Free components are washed away. Add TMB substrate solution to each well. Only those wells containing IGF and HRP-conjugated IGF antibody will appear blue and then turn yellow upon addition of stop solution. Optical density (OD) was measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The OD value is directly proportional to the IGF concentration. You can calculate the concentration of IGF in a sample by comparing its OD to a standard curve.
