Glass fiber chopped strand mats in different weight ratios for resin
introduce:
Fiberglass Chopped Strand Mat, or CSM for short, is a non-woven fiberglass fabric. It is made from randomly distributed chopped strands. The short strands are combined with a powder or emulsion binder to form the mat. The finished product can be used with polyester resins for rapid thickening for part molding and between layers of fabric for building molds.
Like glass fiber composite mats and glass fiber needle felts, chopped strand mats are well suited for hand lay-up and filament winding, compression molding and continuous lamination processes. Typical end use applications includeVarious panels, boats, fiberglass roof panels, auto parts, bathroom fixtures and cooling towers.
