Product Description
Graphite electrode is mainly made of petroleum coke and needle coke, and coal tar pitch is used as a binder. It is made by calcination, batching, kneading, molding, roasting, graphitization, and machining. It releases electric heat in the form of an arc conductor in an electric arc furnace. The furnace charge can be divided into ordinary power, high power and high power according to its quality index. Graphite electrodes with a current density lower than 17A/cm 2 are allowed, and are mainly used in ordinary power electric furnaces such as steelmaking, silicon refining, and yellow phosphorus refining. Graphite electrodes with a current density of 18-25A/cm 2 are allowed and are mainly used in high-power electric arc furnaces for steelmaking. Graphite electrodes with a current density greater than 25A/cm 2 are allowed and are mainly used in ultra-high power steelmaking electric arc furnaces.
