Mannosidase Nutrizyme MNA for Animal Feed Additives

Nutrizyme® β-Mannoase [EC 3.2.1.78] is a highly concentrated, thermostable β-Mannoase preparation purified and formulated by submerged fermentation of Bacillus lentus.
Mannan is widely present in plant raw materials for feed, especially in palm kernel meal, soybean meal, sesame meal, etc., causing viscous chyme and delaying the digestion and absorption of nutrients. β-Mannosidases belong to the family of hemicellulolytic enzymes that cleave β-1,4-glycosidic linkages in β-mannans, galactomannans, and glucomannans to produce mannan-oligosaccharides and mannose. At the same time, it eliminates the antinutritional effect of mannan and reduces digesta viscosity.

**1 unit of β-mannanase is equal to the amount of enzyme required to hydrolyze 1 μmol of reducing sugar (calculated as mannose) in 1 min(u) of 3 mg/ml mannan solution at 37°C and pH 5.5.
