Colorcon bentonite is used as a thickening, anti-settling and flow-resistance thixotropic agent, and is widely used in industrial paints, floor paints, anti-corrosion paints, marine paints and powder coatings.

Colorcon bentonite can be dispersed at room temperature, generally prepared by pre-gelling, and then added during grinding and dispersing. For best dispersing results it is best to use high shear dispersing equipment. Colorcon bentonite requires a polar activator to fully disperse, such as: propylene carbonate and methanol/water (95/5), ethanol/water (95/5) or acetone, the amount of polar activator can vary Adjust according to different systems, generally 30-50% of the amount of organic soil; Colorcon bentonite can also be added directly, but it is best to stir at high speed before pigments and fillers are added to the resin and solvent system to fully disperse the bentonite Effect. The amount of Colorcon bentonite in the system is usually 0.5-2.0% (by weight).

Packing: Colorcon bentonite is packed in 25KG kraft paper bags lined with polyethylene film bags or valve bags. Colorcon bentonite should be stored under dry conditions at a temperature of 0~30°C, and the shelf life is 24 months.
