Sodium Bromide Uses:
1. In the photographic industry, it is used to prepare film photosensitive liquid.
2. It is used in medicine to produce diuretics and sedatives, and to treat neurasthenia, nervous insomnia, and mental excitement. The sedative releases bromide ions from the body, which has a slight depressant effect on the central nervous system, which can calm an agitated chicken.
