1. Introduction & Nature
Chopped carbon fiber is a new type of material, which is chopped from various specifications of carbon fiber roving. It has obvious advantages such as high tensile strength, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, good electrical conductivity, and high temperature resistance.
Chopped carbon fiber is mainly used in the following fields.
(1) Reinforced nylon (PA), polypropylene (PP), polycarbonate (PC), phenolic (PF), polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), polyimide (PI) and other modified plastics;
(2) Construction: reinforcement cement, conductive coating, paint and other materials;
(3) Electric field: It can be used to produce conductive paper, electric heating plate, conductive glass fiber reinforced plastic, needle felt, etc.;
(4) Insulation materials: carbon fiber reinforced refractory bricks, carbon fiber reinforced ceramics
(5) New energy sources: fuel cell electrodes.
