Product overview
Wollastonite consists of Ca3[Si3O9]. Triclinic crystal system. Usually in the form of flakes, radial or fibrous aggregates. White
Microstripe grey. Vitreous luster, cleavage surface pearl luster. The hardness is 4.5-5.0. Cleavage parallel {100} complete, parallel {001} moderate. The intersection angle of the two cleavage planes is 74°. Density 2.78 ~ 2.91 g/cm3. It is mainly produced in the contact metamorphic zone of acidic intrusive rock and limestone, and is the main mineral component of skarn. In addition, it exists in some deep metamorphic rocks. Used as: raw materials or fillers for cement, papermaking, ceramics, rubber, plastics, etc. Gas filter materials and thermal insulation materials; metallurgical fluxes, etc.
