Product Description
Silica fume, also known as silicon powder or micro silica, is a by-product of the production of silicon metal or ferrosilicon alloy. Silicon metal and alloys are produced in electric furnaces. The raw materials are quartz, coal and wood chips. The smoke generated by the furnace operation is collected and sold as silicon powder.
