Packing and shipping
The standard packaging is a 30 liter HDPE drum (nourytainer?) containing 25 kg peroxide product or 190 kg peroxide solution in a 220 liter HDPE drum.
Trigonox a-w70 belongs to class F organic peroxides; liquid, class 5.2; un3109.
Safety and Operation
Keep container tightly closed. Store and handle trigonox a-w70 in a dry, well-ventilated place away from heat or flame and direct sunlight. It is strictly forbidden to weigh the package in the storage room. Avoid contact with reducing agents (such as amines), acids, alkalis and heavy metal compounds (such as accelerators, desiccants and metal soaps)
application
Trigonox A-W70 can be used in bulk, aqueous and emulsion polymerizations of styrene, acrylates and methacrylates.
The thermal decomposition of trigonox a-w70 above 110°C or the free agent produced by the low-temperature redox mechanism can initiate the polymerization reaction. Effective organic peroxide reducing agents are ascorbic acid, ascorbic acid, and sodium dithionite. Heavy metals such as cobalt or salt ions may also play a reducing role.
Typical applications for trigonox a-w70 include:
1. Production of acrylate, vinyl acetate, styrene-butadiene copolymer and other rubbers.
2. Curing of styrene polyester.
3. Oxidizing agents for hydrocarbons or other chemicals
