Anti-KLF4 polyclonal antibody
Product Description
This gene encodes a protein belonging to the Kruppel family of transcription factors. The encoded zinc finger protein is required for normal development of skin barrier function. The encoded protein is thought to control the G1 to S transition of the cell cycle after DNA damage by mediating the tumor suppressor p53. Mice lacking the gene appear normal but lose weight rapidly and die soon after birth due to impaired epidermal barrier function that causes fluid to evaporate. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
